    • Our History

In Ecuador, where the two world hemispheres meet, we have achieved the unthinkable; produce High Quality Wines..

During this journey, which started 13 years ago, we discovered the paradox of producing an Ecuadorian wine. A voyage of unique scents and tastes that reveals the enigma of producing wines from our own land.

Our vineyard is located in San Miguel del Morro, Playas, on the coast side of Ecuador. An area characterized by its sunny days, mild nights, chalky soils, and an everlasting sea breeze.

We defied the theory that in the middle of the world we didn´t have the ideal conditions to produce wine, which was believed to be only possible in countries with the four seasons and specific latitudes.

    histpru2

    1999

We acquired 360 hectares of land in San Miguel Del Morro

Started to raise table grapes (Cardinal, Italia, Rivera).
    2004

We decided to venture and raise wine grapes.

We didn´t spare efforts, we brought the best clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Chardonnay and worked alongside Abel Furlan, well-known oenologist from Mendoza, Argentina.
    2006

The result was our first Ecuadorian high quality wine

Paradoja 2006 (which means paradox) a Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec blend, and its name was born from the fact that producing wine in Ecuador was a real paradox.
    2007

    Bruma was born

Cabernet Sauvignon - Merlot blend. Its name was given because of the mist that surrounds the vineyard every morning.
    2008

We had a stock of 1200 Paradoja wine bottles available for sale.

These bottles were sold among friends and family that were amazed by the quality, scent, taste and color of the first ever Ecuadorian wine. Some of them still gingerly keep the first bottles.
    2008

    A year later Enigma (Chardonnay)

Became part of our growing wine family. Its name denotes the mystery of how our first white wine came to be.
    2008

    Then came Del Morro

Cabernet Sauvignon, and its name represents the land and people that made it possible to produce these one of a kind wines.
    2011

Finally, in 2011, Travesía 2009 arrived (the name means voyage)

A Cabernet Sauvignon red wine. Its name refers to this thirteen-year voyage of producing wine in Ecuador. Dos Hemisferios, brand which represents these five wines, also represents our country, where it is possible to encounter the exact point where the world´s north and south hemispheres meet.
